Roaming Causeway Bay, tasty treats

In Causeway Bay across from Sogo’s main entrance are two food outlets of note.  Both are shown in the photos.  Ben Cheng Hiang is kind of a fastfood bbq stand with different meats grilled on location.  The meats have the texture of “jerky”, that is, dry and somewhat chewy.  The beef I tried was a little sweet for my taste by very delicious by anyone’s standard.

The second is Hui Lau Shan which is located next door.  It is a dessert place with just a few tables.  You can walk up and order desserts that are mainly fruit based, sometimes with ice cream.  I had a mango and coconut drink that was perfect on a very hot day.  This drink had chunks of mango that only added to the dish.

Both locations are inexpensive.  However, as they are popular, you may have to line a short while to place your order.
