Riding the escalators of Singapore, Orchard at Scott’s Road

I have a fascination with taking photographs of people riding escalators.  Perhaps part of my attraction rests with the the angle of the shot, steep with a perspective that you don’t normally see.  Also, there’s a symmetry to the escalator and its treads,  risers,  and handrails. And the escalator’s relationship to its environs.  Although people have to conform to this symmetry, they add the unpredictable. Before I get too carried away, these photographs were taken in the area of Orchard and Scott’s Road in Singapore.  As there are probably 10-15 escalators surrounding the intersection, it’s target-rich for these kind of photographs.
