Singapore goes all out with lighting and decoration on Orchard Road and other areas for Christmas and New Year.  Even though it has a distinctive commercial flavor to the decoration, what with corporate sponsorship, it doens/t make it less festive.

And at night there are photographers everywhere, some with pretty elaborate equipment.

A great corner to take this all in is the intersection of Orchard and Scott’s Road.

This tree is quite popular with Singaporeans and visitors alike.  During my visits to this location, I counted dozens of people having their photos taken in front of this tree.  Both day and night.  Obviously, nighttime is best to take in the spectacular lighting.
