Impromptu wedding photos in Vietnam
I’m not a wedding photographer but when you run into couples having their wedding photos shot, it’s difficult not taking a few photos here and there. The area around the Notre Dame Cathedral in Ho Chi Minh city is bursting with couples and their photographers. You find them on the sidewalks, in gardens and in the streets. If you find yourself in Ho Chi Minh City, take a stroll over to the cathedral and get prepared. By the way, neither the couples nor their photographers care if you take their photos. Try your hand, its a lot of fun.

Bride and groom candids in Ho Chi Minh City
If you ever visit Ho Chi Minh City and you’re looking for a great location for candids, try the area around the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office. These buildings are over a hundred years old and favorites for wedding couples, especially on Sundays. I walked around this location for a few hours last week and came away with photos of four different couples. And don’t feel shy about taking their photos. In addition to the wedding photographers, the couples were shot by many visitors, some with “point and shoots”, others with DSLRs. And some with mobile phones.
