A series of Beyonce photos – Paris September 2003
As I mentioned in four earlier postings of Beyonce photos, I took this series of photos while drinking champagne at the old champangne bar at the Galerie Lafayette department store in Paris. The session started out with some Dom Perignon, progressed to Bollinger, a little bit of Cristal before we settled in with Veuve Cliquot. It was some afternoon. My friend and I talked about many things. Life, woman, travel, before he mentioned Beyonce. We talked about her for a couple of minutes before I saw an entourage coming our way. The first person I noticed was this huge man followed by five or six others, some personal security people and store staff. It was quite a commotion. I realized that Beyonce was the reason for the chaos. Beyonce and her family. And her bodyguard Shorty. The security guys kept the paparazzi away. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time and started firing away. My friend did not believe that Beyonce was walking in our direction. Until he turned around.
Even more photos of Beyonce in Paris in 2003.
As mentioned in an earlier posting, I was at the Galerie Lafayette in 2003 when Beyonce and her entourage entered the store. There I was drinking Dom Perignon in the champagne bar while watching Beyonce. And I took these photos with a point and shoot camera.
Beyonce with mom – Paris 2003
I told you I had more photos. What I didn’t say is that I have photos of Beyonce with her mom. Enjoy.
Also, apologies for placing these photos in 2004. They were taken in Paris in September 2003. Lost a year!
More Beyonce photos – Paris 2003
Here are a couple more photos that I took in 2003. Stay tuned. I have more. See earlier posting for the story. And more photos. Apologies for early posting stating the year as 2004. They were taken in September 2003.
Musee d’Orsay – Paris 2007
Last summer I visited Paris. I had a lot of time to roam the city and look for those places that are special. There’s no doubt the Louvre is a great museum and it’s collection, including the Mona Lisa, is spectacular. However, I became of fan of the Musee d’Orsay, the Impressionist Museum, across the Seine and just a short distance from the Louvre. It’s collection of impressionist art is extensive. But what stands out to me is it’s atmosphere. The combination of the central arcade with its expansive and well-lit ambience and the sitting areas where one can sit back and gaze at the wonderful glass ceiling and artwork is unmatched.
I recommend that anyone who travels to Paris spend some time there. You will not be disappointed.

Roaming Paris – Beyonce 2003
In Sept 2003 I was with a friend at the Champagne Bar at the Galerie Lafayette department store in Paris. The bar is located on the second or third floor in the women’s department. After we downed several flutes of Dom Perignon and Cristal, the relaxed and quiet atmosphere was disrupted by a rush of people. Maybe 10 or 15 people walked by. They stopped nearby and then we noticed that the cause of the commotion was Beyonce. She began trying on clothes. There were no paparazzi to be seen. They were kept away. And there was I with my camera. As we continued to drink the champagne, I started taking photos of Beyonce from about 25 feet. Maybe 30 photos total. A sip of champagne, a shot of Beyonce. And so it went.
You should know that these photos have NEVER been shown. Apologies for the blurriness. Using a point and shoot camera. (Also note that I previously stated the photos were taken in 2004. They were taken in 2003.)
A few days later, I was looking at Paris Match magazine and there was Beyonce on the front cover wearing the same jacket while attending a fashion show in Milan!
